so another night pretty much wasted. bought a gamecube for work today. gotta love my job. spent all evening playing some of the new games. love the temporary escape from reality it brings. all the games i got for it have ways to create yourself. so tonight i was a pro-wrestler, a nascar driver, and the best freakin basketball player on the streets of chicago. maybe its a little self-centered to be that good at all these make believe things, but hey, like i said, great escape from reality.

i leave tomorrow for a business trip. just a short overnight. i get back late saturday night. not sure what all that will bring, whether getting away from here will continue to be a great escape from reality, or if i'll come to find myself still constantly stuck in this place i've been for the past several weeks.

trips are so tiring though. no matter how short they are. theres just no time at all to wind down. i have to be "on" 24 hours a day. and no rest for the weary. get back late saturday night and then have a packed day on sunday. my monday is my day off, but i may even have stuff going on then that may keep me from resting...

oh well...sleep is for the weak.
